Minors arrested for robbing 66-year-old Redding man

Redding, Calif. – Two juveniles were arrested for robbing a 66-year-old man in Redding.

The Redding Police Department said during the early morning hours of April 2, they were contacted by a Redding man who said he had been robbed.

The man told police two suspects approached him, each brandishing a handgun. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money from the victim and fled the area on foot.

While searching the area of Westside Road and Prey Road, police said they found two juveniles matching the description of the suspects.

Officers said they determined both juveniles had concealed replica handguns in their clothing. They also had the victim’s money.

RPD will not release the names of the juveniles, but officers said they were both arrested and booked into the Shasta County Juvenile Hall on robbery charges.
