Mt. Ashland, Ore. — Mount Ashland is going sustainable. The ski area is installing an array of 85 solar panels this month.
The panels will generate 12% of energy used at the ski area.
The $117,000 project is being supported in part by Pacific Power’s Blue Sky Program and the Energy Trust of Oregon.
The ski area is paying $25,000 for the project and are accepting donations to help with funding.
