JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. – You may see some smoke in the valley Thursday and Friday.
Don’t be concerned, it’s just firefighters putting their newly learned skills to the test.
The Oregon Department of Forestry is conducting live burn trainings along Truax and Newland Roads.
About 50 firefighters were at the scene for the training north of Central Point.
A total of 24 acres will be burned throughout the exercises.
