Police looking for suspected drug dealers who were detained, released

Medford, Ore. – Medford Police are hunting for two suspected drug dealers after their seized vehicle was searched for evidence by detectives.

According to the Medford Police Department, on March 27, officers with the Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement Team (MADGE) stopped a 2002 silver BMW 330i at Foothills and Coker Butte Road.

At the time, police said they believed the occupants of the vehicle were involved in drug sales. Officers took possession of the car, but they had to release the occupants for unstated reasons.

A judge eventually gave police permission to search the seized BMW. Police said they found “a lot” (one pound) of methamphetamine, “a bunch” of heroin (100 grams) and an ounce of cocaine.

MPD is said they’re on the hunt for the occupants of the BMW, 41-year-old Jimmy Lee Swift and 37-year-old Shantia Hukill.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Corey Schwab at 541-770-4783.
