Pres. Trump donates part of salary to help fight coronavirus

WASHINGTON, D.C. (NBC) – President Trump is donating part of his salary to the government’s efforts to combat the coronavirus.

Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham tweeted a photo of a check from President Trump to the Department of Health and Human Services.

Grisham’s tweet says the $100,000 check is Mr. Trump’s salary from the fourth quarter of 2019.

The White House says President Trump donated his third-quarter earnings to HHS as well to help fight the opioid epidemic.
