Report: Kyle Singler cut from the Oklahoma City Thunder

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Medford native Kyle Singler has reportedly been cut by his NBA team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to ESPN’S Adrian Wojnarowski.

The former South Medford star will still get the nearly $5 million dollars he’s guaranteed to make in the final year of his contract.

Though Kyle played only 59 minutes for the Thunder last year, the move was a cost-cutting effort by the team. It saves them $23 million in luxury tax payments under the NBA’S salary cap.
