MEDFORD, Ore. — The City of Medford is one step closer to building a new park in a Southeast neighborhood.
Village Center Park would be at the corner of Lone Oak and Shamrock Drives near North Phoenix Road.
Plans for the four-acre park show a basketball court, playground, and an open turf area.
Tonight, councilors approved the just over $17,000 dollar purchase from the Medford Parks and Recreation Foundation.
The city could see contracts to build the park as early as June.
