GOP debate preview

NC_lv50tweb_700x394The fifth Republican Presidential Debate happens in Las Vegas tonight amid a shift in the polls.

Donald trump is the frontrunner right now. He held a late night rally in Vegas. His message to the other republicans? “Bring it on!” “Ooh. And they’re all coming after me. This will not be like an evening in paradise for me do we agree?” said Presidential Candidate Donald Trump.

Donald Trump at a late-night Vegas rally super confident before tonight’s debate: “Many of them don’t have a chance you say what are you doing just go home and relax. Go home and relax,” said Trump.

He’s number one in Monmouth University’s new poll, pulling a whopping 41 percent nationally

But Ted Cruz leads in Iowa, among evangelicals, and among the most conservative voters. “Trump and Cruz could be a disaster for the Republican Party. It’s going to be difficult potentially for the party to win over mainstream voters in swing states,” said Robert Costa from the The Washington Post.

Number three Marco Rubio’s running a new ad in Iowa and New Hampshire today… Going after conservatives:

He’s targeting Hillary Clinton: “We’re gonna have nine people on the stage and another three or four earlier. Not a single one of them is being investigated by the FBI,” said Marco Rubio, (R) Presidential Candidate.

At the Venetian tonight, it’s Trump center stage flanked by Ben Carson and Ted Cruz.

With Chris Christie back on the main stage, and Rand Paul barely making it in.

And many voters still undecided. “There is not anybody that I like 100%,” said one voter.

“I just want to see how this all plays out,” said another voter.

With such a crowded and contentious republican field, there hasn’t been as much attention on the democratic debates. The next one’s Saturday in New Hampshire.
