Gold Hill, Ore. – An SUV, a boat, and a trailer were swallowed up by the Rogue River Monday evening, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

JSCO says they responded to a report of a vehicle and boat in the river at Fishers Ferry Boat Ramp near Gold Hill. Officers found that an SUV rolled down the ramp into the river, with the boat and trailer still attached. Nobody was injured, and officers believe a mechanical failure was the cause of the accident.

Officers say they were able to recover the vehicles on Tuesday morning with the help of divers. The water was 44 degrees and it took nearly 3 hours to remove the SUV, boat, and trailer from the river.
