Dozens of lightning sparked fires keep crews busy

Jackson County, Ore.– Fire crews were battling dozens of wildfires Wednesday night started by an afternoon burst of lightning, that just kept coming.

There’s a group of fires burning on Wagner Butte in the Wagner Creek area of Talent.

ODF said the area was just hammered by lightning and is being continually hit. Those fires are peppered all the way out to Applegate.

There’s a 60 acre fire off east Evans Creek Road in the northern part of Jackson County.

Four 20 person crews are on that one– but it’s in tough to reach terrain.
