A potential fire starter this fire season…campfires.
Afew simple reminders can help lower the risk:
First, find out where campfires are allowed before you burn. Second, establish a solid base by clearing a circle down to the soil and building up a wall of large rocks to help contain embers.
Officials say to never leave a fire unattended…a competent adult needs to be present.
And finally, watch the weather. winds can change quickly.
