Police On Lookout For Stabbing Suspect

Medford police are on the lookout for a suspect they say stabbed a man late Wednesday night.

A man in his early twenties threatened another man with a knife.

After the suspect left, the victim flagged down an officer and reported what happened and continued on his way home.

Lt. Mike Budreau, with the Medford Police Department, told NBC 5 that a short time later the suspect found the victim and chased him into a nearby home. “He runs into a house where he sees somebody on the front porch. He runs inside, runs right past them and he is trying to tell them, these males that are saying ‘What are you doing in my house’, he said something like ‘Somebody is after me.’ They really weren’t believing him initially until they see this guy come up to the front door that’s holding a knife and is after the person that just ran in their house. They actually try and keep him out of the house but he forces his way in and proceeds to stab this victim in the abdomen, multiple times, before he’s pulled off by the people that are in the home.”

The victim is currently at an area hospital where he underwent surgery.

Although the incident is considered gang related, police tell us that the victim does not have any gang affiliation.

Police describe the suspect as a Latino male in his early twenties and about five foot seven tall.
