Los Angeles is now the biggest city to ban on plastic bags.
Los Angeles city council members voted overwhelmingly Wednesday night, to ban plastic bags last night.
The plan will phase out the bags at large stores within six months and smaller stores within a year.
There will also be a 10 cent surcharge on paper bags.
