Man Claims Life’s Mission is to Kill Responding Police; Officers Say

Klamath Falls Police said 30-year-old Kale Donovan Miller threatened people with a handgun, wore body armor and said his life’s mission was to kill the officers who arrested him and their families.

Authorities said they responded to the Dutch Bros. in the Dollar Tree parking lot at 3041 South Sixth Street around 5:30 Sunday evening.

When police arrived, they said Miller was standing near the Dutch Brothers drive-up window, wearing a military-grade flak jacket with a handgun attached on the front and concealed under his jacket.

According to police, Miller refused to comply with officers’ orders. Authorities said they were able to wrestle away a handgun.

Two police officers were injured in the fight. One of them was treated at Sky Lakes Medical Center and later released.

Miller is charged with Unlawful Possession of Body Armor, Resisting Arrest, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Menacing, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree.

He is behind bars at the Klamath County Jail.
