Oregon State Marine Board To Use Rogue River for Training

Starting Monday, July 22, the Rogue River will become a classroom for the Oregon State Marine Board’s boating school.

Dozens of law enforcement officers, firefighters, and instructors will train on water rescue, river navigation, and boat recovery.

Learning to read white-water and technical rescue situations will also be part of the training.

We’re told the training will be very hands-on. Sessions will also include classroom time.
