A man is in the hospital after police say he was stabbed on the Bearcreek Greenway.
Medford police are on the lookout for the suspect.
It happened on Saturday afternoon around 3:30 near the I-5 overpass behind Crater Lake Ford and shut down a portion of the bike path. Crime scene tape surrounded the entire area.
“The victim was located, the victim was then taken to RRMC and is being treated,” said Sergeant D.J. Graham of the Medford Police Department.
However, police say they don’t think it was a random attack.
“It appears the two knew each other and it might have been a dispute over property,” said Sgt. Graham.
Meanwhile police are continuing their search for the suspect who got away.
“He’s thought to be a white male, approx. 6 foot, 170 pounds, blonde hair with a pony tale,” said Sgt. Graham.
Authorities are now asking for the community’s help.
