Rogue-River Siskiyou National Forest fire dangers raised to high

Medford, Ore. — Fire dangers move to high for the Rogue-River Siskiyou National Forest and restrictions for the public are start Monday.

The high rating indicates that grasses will ignite readily, fires will start easily and any unattended brush and campfires are likely to escape and spread rapidly.

For campers, building a fire on the forest’s protected lands is now not allowed, unless you’re using a commercial stove or are in a designated recreation site.
