Nearly one hundred people at Hawthorne park gathered in support of Parkinson’s disease for the 5th annual ‘Sole Support of Parkinson’s Walk’.
Organizers from Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon say millions suffer from the disease across the country, they say the walk helps raise awareness.
“We do show support to bring awareness and fundraising to people in Southern Oregon, to let them know about the programs and services that are going on down here.”
The walk raised 10,000 dollars for the disease that causes a disorder in the central nervous system. Some symptoms include shaking and slowness of movement.
