Officials say 89 people have been killed, and nearly 600 hurt by an earthquake in China’s Gansu Province Monday morning at around 7:45 a.m. local time.
The U.S. Geological Survey measured the earthquake at a 5.9, that was just half a mile deep.
According to reports, hundreds of homes have been destroyed.
More information is expected to be released later Monday morning.
