We tracked down a neighborhood in medford where one resident says the suspects took his debit card out of the mailbox and charged atleast $1500 dollars to it.

Police say the thieves hit up one-thousand mailboxes, but Lee Anderson’s was not one of them. He now plans to take action

“I’m going to get the neighbors together and we’re going to have to get locks for out mail boxes if people’s mail is being stolen.”

The suspects face both state and federal charges, ranging from identity theft to fraud.

Victims of all this didn’t actually lose out on much because banks end up reimbursing in cases of fraud.

Lieutenant Boudreau with the Medford Police department reminds folks to keep track of bank statements and to consider buying a lock for your mailbox.
