Medford Meth Traffickers Get Federal Time

Two men already behind bars in state prison have been sentenced to federal time by a federal judge in Medford.

Francisco Hernandez-Figueroa is facing 10 years and Jaime Muniz will serve five, after both were found guilty of methamphetamine trafficking offenses.

They were first arrested in March of 2011 in separate incidents, each after being pulled over for traffic stops. Searches of their cars found over 25 pounds of meth total, in elaborate hiddencompartments.

Both men pleaded guilty to the charge of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.
