The Feds are tightening their belts yet again and this time — it’s meaning less money for Rogue River research.
A275-thousand dollar federal grant has been pulled.
The grant funded the final two years of a 5-year research project — examining changes to the rogue river since the Gold ray Dam removal in 2010.
Experts say it’s imperative research continues.
So far, another 135-thousand dollar grant has been dedicated to funding the most important studies associated with the project.
