Florida man says he’s been banned from a Starbucks location for life

Tampa, Fla. — A Bay Area man says he’s been banned for life from Starbucks.

Its all because he was allegedly harassing other customers about parking in the handicap spot, he says the manager sent him a letter telling to stay away for good.

Its safe to say Rob Rowen was a regular at his local Starbucks.

Rob Rowen, claims Starbucks banned him for life, “I would go in and they knew exactly what I wanted and sometimes before I even got to the register my coffee was waiting for me, my short decaf, non-fat with whip, mocha,” but he just found out his custom coffee fix will have to get filled somewhere else because he’s now banned from the coffee chain for life.

Rob Rowen, Here’s the letter, “it’s a notice of expulsion and warning against trespassing and it says Ive been expelled from Starbucks Coffee Company locations for the reasons listed above.”

The reason he says, is because he called out customers who were breaking the law.

Rob Rowen, I saw someone park and it was obvious they weren’t handicapped, I went and made sure they weren’t handicapped, there was no handicapped-parking sticker, it wasn’t a handicapped plate and so I said to him, you’re parked in the one handicapped space and you need to move your car.

A violation he says happened pretty often at the South Dale Mabry location.

Saundra Weathers, stand up, Rowen says when he would spot someone illegally parked in a perfectly visible handicapped spot like this one, he would use his cell phone and take a picture of their car and then confront them inside of the store.

If you’re wondering why Rowen is so passionate since he’s not handicapped, he says it’s personal.

Rob Rowen, I care because I have a big heart, I care because my son-in-law is one of those people who uses those parking spots.

Now that he’s banned and can no longer police these parking spots, he says the employees should so that hopefully when people like his son-in-law come to get their caffeine fix, they won’t have to travel far.
