Boy Scouts of American ends ban on gay adults as scout leaders

The Boy Scouts of America is expected to officially end its ban on gay adults as scout leaders today, July 27th.

The National Executive Board is expected to formally pass a resolution, adopted earlier this month, that would change the long-standing policy.

It would allow each local chapter to make its own decisions on leaders.

The group voted in 2013 to allow same-sex youths into the organization.
