(KGNS) It wasn’t all warm welcomes as GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump landed in Laredo Thursday afternoon.
Protestors gathered nearly three hours before Trump’s arrival.
“We have to give dignity to everyone every time there is a wave of a new immigrants”, said Martha Diaz. “I thought he was a cultured man and how can he disenfranchise just over 50 percent of the population.”
Others weren’t offended.
Karina Villalba is asking people to look into the issues Trump is addressing.
“He is referring to illegal immigration coming through the Mexican border and in fact being here illegally is a crime in itself and it’s a word that many people get offended by”, said Villalba.
