Ashland and South Medford High School ranked top ten percent

Medford,. Ore. — Two local high schools are getting some well-earned attention. Both Ashland and South Medford High School are ranked in the top ten percent of the nation’s secondary schools and received the coveted silver medal.

The U.S. News and World report ranks 20,000 public schools nationwide every year. The rankings use data from three different performance areas to create the rankings.

This is the grizzlies fifth time making the top of the list, but it’s a first for the panthers.

Seventy-seven of Oregon’s 287 high schools were awarded medals, including Crater Renaissance Academy and Rogue River Junior/Senior High who received the bronze medal.
