California Dog Rescue To Vacate Current Property; New Home Donated

ASiskiyou County judge has ordered an animal rescue in Horse Creek to vacate their current facility in two weeks.

This happened after the landlord and officials at Dexter’s Rescue Remedy Sheltergot into a dispute over a lease agreement.

However, an employee at the Siskiyou County Animal Shelter heard the story and has donated 40 acres of land near Yreka to the rescue for as long as they need.

The rescue plans on moving everything within the next two weeks.

They are still looking for volunteers to help remove and set up fencing.

The rescue is also looking for families to foster some of the dogs while the move takes place to reduce the amount of stress on the dogs.

If you are able to help, you can contact the shelter at 530-496-3276or e-mailthem at [email protected]
