An unfair labor practice charge was filed against the Ashland food co-op on Tuesday. The charges were filed by the National Labor Relations Board by United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 555 on behalf of workers who want to unionize the co-op.
As co-op members they also want to participate in the creation of policies that govern their working conditions. The charges concern a variety of issues including instances of surveillance and intimidation through coercion.
