Construction To Start On Sexton Pass

Northbound drivers should expect delays starting Monday, if you are heading over the Sexton Pass.

Beginning Monday evening, the right northbound shoulder of I5 will be closed between the Hugo interchange at exit 66 and Sexton Pass at milepost 69.

Workers will begin construction of a 2.8 mile climbing lane, forcing large trucks into the slow lane.

Officials encourage motorists to give themselves extra travel time.

Additional nighttime closures will also begin tonight, and continue through march first.

ODOT officials also say that in addition to the climbing lane, they will be resurfacing 14 mile section in both directions of I5 from milepost 66 to milepost 80.
