A clarification on a story we reported regarding an appeal by Richard Lee Taylor, the man convicted of child sex abuse and sentenced by Judge Timothy Barnack.
We reported that Taylor would be back in court, but it’s not known if the appeals court will hear his case.
Our story also implied that the appeal could be based on the comments of Judge Barnack for which he was censured referring to Taylor in negative terms.
However legal analysts close to the case claim defense attorneys throughout the trial made no objection and failed to call Judge Barnacks’ comments or fairness into question, therefore it’s unlikely they would attempt an appeal on that basis.
