Authorities are trying to reassure the community that the Greenway is a safe place to be. Today however, the path was quiet and only a few people were out. Some residents we spoke with say they don’t feel safe and they’re nervous to be on the Greenway.
“It always scared me to go on the bike path, that’s why i always make sure there’s people with me or i have something with me like a flash light to keep me safe, but it scares me more and more,” said Sodona Dintelman.
Medford officials say they have no plans to increase security on the path but say there is a daily police presence on the trail.
