Police Arrest Suspect After Chase

After leading police on a high speed chase through three Rogue Valley cities,the man police say stole a pizza delivery car and ran, is now behind bars.

Officials arrested Teddy Wayne Peckham III in Central Point last night.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office,the suspect watched a pizza delivery man get out of his truck and head to someone’s front door — before jumping into the truck and taking off.

The chase started just before eight Friday night in West Medford, went into Jacksonville, and ended in Central Point.

Deputies say some 20 officers were involved.

Deputies say the suspect put up a fight– but they arrested in him the Central Point Albertson’s parking lot.

Tonight he remains behind bars at the Jackson County Jail on a number of charges including reckless driving, reckless endangerment, attempt to elude, and possession of a stolen vehicle among others.

His bail has been set at 94-thousand dollars.
