Property Tax Deferral Program Deadline Approaching

Deadlines are quickly approaching for Oregon’s Senior and Disabled citizens property tax deferral program.

Individuals currently in the program have until April 8th to re-certify their “active status.” If they do not file the necessary paperwork by that date, the state will not pay their property taxes due in November.

New applicants have until April 15th to apply for the deferral program. To be eligible for the program you must be either 62 years old, or a disabled citizen, either receiving or eligible to receive federal social security disability benefits.
