Public Comment Taken For Ashland Livestock Proposal

Public comment will be taken Tuesday night at the Ashland City Council meeting, regarding the keeping of bees and livestock within city limits.

Under a new proposal, residents can keep three bee hives on a lot under an acre, or five hives on an acre or more, and five adult and five juvenile chickens on 5,000 feet or less.

Roosters, geese and peacocks would all prohibited under the new regulations.

The council will meet Tuesday night at 7 P.M. at the Ashland Civic Center Council.
