Vacant House Fire

Did the Medford serial arsonist strike again

That’s what Medford fire crews are investigating tonight.

This comes after crews responded to a report of a structure fire in a vacant home in West Medford on Dakota Avenue this afternoon around 3 o’clock.

They believe the fires started in the back of the home’s garage.

“This doesn’t really fit the pattern that we’ve seen, there was a mattress at the back. Typical of a transient sleeping there or something like that, so it really doesn’t fit the other fires.”

Officials say very little damage was done. They also believe a transient was living inside of that garage.
