Sediment To Be Removed From Ashland Ponds

The sediment removal project has officially kicked off in the city ofAshland and new closures are in effect.

This morning, Granite Street will be closed at Glenview Drive and the Ashland Loop Road will also be closed above Horn Gap.

The water line trail will remain open but access points onto the water treatment plant road will be closed.

The project is designed to protect the citys water quality by removing sediment from the ponds before it enters Reeder Reservoir.

It will continue through November 1st.
