Salmonella Outbreak in Foster Farms Chicken

Nearly 3-hundred people in eighteen states, including Oregon, have fallen ill, after eating chicken contaminated with salmonella.

The illnesses have all been traced back to raw chicken products from foster farms in California.

No recalls have been issued, but the products were distributed in California, Oregon and Washington.

The USDA and CDC are involved in the investigation, but in a reduced capacity, because of the government shutdown.

USDA officials did say the products bear one of three establishment numbers inside.

The numbers are:

P-6-1-3-7

P-6-1-3-7-A

P-7-6-3-2
