Medford Woman Arrested After Eluding Police

Medford Police arrest a woman, after they say she attempted to elude officers after hitting a patrol car.

Around 9 O’clock Tuesday night, officials say the woman was driving around the north Fred Meyer store, yelling at people.

When approached by officers, she reportedly drove off, clipping the back of a cruiser.

Police say she was last seen running a red light on Poplar Drive.

About an hour and a half later, the car was spotted near the south Fred Meyer.

Officers deployed a spike strip, and tased the woman, who was identified 53 year old Lauri Story, to get her into custody.

She’s facing charges of hit-and-run, attempting to elude, reckless endangerment, and disorderly conduct.

Officials say the woman was not wanted for any crime before this incident.
