Fire Destroys Jacksonville Family Home

Three homes are damaged and one is destroyed after a fire tears through a Jacksonville home, taking the family dog with it and leaving the homeowners with a major loss.

The fire was initially reported as a smoke investigation called in by some neighbors who woke to loud popping noises. Firefighters soon learned the devastation, they were about to confront.

Fifty-foot flames were reportedly seen nearly two miles away.

While the flames grew, the fire spread, igniting massive trees in the semi-rural neighborhood just outside of the historic downtown.

The resident’s made it out of the home in time, but they’re still missing two cats. Below is a description.

Talking with family or friends of the three homes that were damaged or lost, none took my offer for public support. As fire investigators continue to search for a cause, insurance companies and set to inspect and assess the damages.
