Arizona Faces a New Wildfire

A new wildfire has popped up in Arizona, about eighty miles southeast of Phoenix.

The Shipman fire is burning near the small town of Kearny. It was first spotted around five o’clock Monday evening.

Officials say so far, one home has burned down, and the fire is also threatening a local airport.

A mobile home park with approximately fifty residents was evacuated as a precaution.

The blaze has already consumed some 200 acres. At this time, it’s still unclear how it started.
