Plane Returns to MFR Due to Smoke

Just before 6:30 Monday morning, officials were called to the Rogue Valley International Medford Airport, following a a report of a plane with smoke inside the aircraft.

Airport officials say the plane had taken off, when the smoke was discovered inside. Reports say the plane landed less than five minutes later, and all passengers and crew were safely evacuated. There are no injuries to report, however there are flight delays.

Right now, it’s not clear where the smoke came from, and what part of the plane it affected. That investigation is ongoing.

Officials want to remind fliers to check in with their air carrier for updated flight information.
