A resident of leisure days mobile home parkin Shady Cove says she feels violatedafter 27-year-old Ashley Chiasson allegedly sold her a fake magazine subscription.
The woman was going door to door telling people she was selling magazine and book subscriptions where all proceeds were going to a children’s hospital says Andrea Carlson with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Leisure Days residents says Chiasson was a cheerful and nice woman, so much so that they allowed her in their homes and let her use their restrooms.
But Sallie Bartlet sensed something wasn’t right and put a hold to the thirty-dollar check she gave Chiasson. Andthanks to Sallie’s intuition the door to door scam came to a quick end .
The hold on Sallie’s check led the sheriff’s office to the arrest of Ashley Chiasson and her alleged partner in crime Patrick Dow.
