The Ashland food CO-OP stays with thier local trend, hiring the Medford CO-OP’S general manager for their own!
The newGM Emile Amarotico, has been named to replace the current general manager Richard Katz, who is retiring on July 1st.
He says the size and success of the Ashland CO-OP program are attractive. He also likes the idea of working where he lives.
Amarotico recieved a culinary degree in New York aswell as a business degree with an emphasis in accounting.Helped start the Standing Stone Brewery in Ashlandin the 90’s and has continued to work at reducing the impact on the environment.
Areplacement in Medford has not yet been named but the meeting to decide new directors is scheduled for April 18th.
