An Eagle Point woman is out to make a difference.
She’s trying to get a documentary to play later this month in Medford at the Tinseltown Theater.
To do it, 55 more people need to reserve a ticket online.
The film is called Girl Rising and is about the obstacles to education girls face in other countries.
J.R. Starr said she hopes showing it in Medford will open people’s eyes to the value of education.
She pointed out getting an education in the United States is much easier than in other, poverty-stricken countries.
A portion of the ticket sales will go toward funding girls programs.
