With Christmas literally just a few days away, families are still struggling.
Officials at Access Food Share say they’re trying to help and are in dire need of donations.
The 28th annual Food for Hope drive has come up short, only collecting half of what they anticipated.
Officials are asking Jackson County residents to come through with donations by December 31st.
Non-perishable food can be dropped off at all fire stations and any Umpqua bank in Jackson county.
