It’s no barking matter. Today, city council met to discuss a doggy day care business proposal that’s hitting road blocks with city code.
Medford resident Robert Dudley, may or may not ever see his business dream of an in-town doggy day care center come true.
City code says the noise level of such a facility requires the business to be 200 feet, or 6 acres, from other businesses –
which rules out a commercially located facility Dudley thinks people would appreciate.
“Convenience for people. Other facilities are all out in rural areas. If you work in Medford, you have to drive out of the way,” says Dudley.
City council is now asking planning commission to review the proposal before making a decision.
