Rogue Valley Honors Veterans

Today is Veterans Day and across the valley residents paid tribute to veterans in a number of ceremonies. Sunday morning students from the Eagle Point High School marching band along with local cub scouts, lead the community to a remembrance ceremony in Veterans Park. A number of local veterans shared their stories and say this is a day to remember those who served.

“It means a day of thanking other vets, remembering what we’re for and we’re here for veterans. That’s why we have this freedom, ” said Jerry Zieman.

More Veterans Day festivities around the region are planned for tomorrow. Folks will continue to honor our service men and women. In Medford, the annual Veterans Day parade will be on Monday. it’s expected to begin at 11 and make its way along Main Street, from Hawthorne to Oakdale Avenue. Organizers say they will be out rain, or shine!
