Klamath County Election Results May Be Delayed

Election officials in Klamath County say that an organized write-in effort could possibly delay results in the race for County Sheriff.

While Frank Skrah and Mike Angeli are the only two names on the ballot, Incumbent Sheriff Tim Evinger has been actively pursuing a write-in campaign.

Linda Smith, the Klamath County Clerk, says “Election night we will have the results of how many write-ins, and how many candidates that are listed on the ballot and then the write-ins, the tallying of the individual names will not begin until the day after the election.”

Klamath Falls voters are also facing contested races for a county commissioner position, mayor, a city council position, and county assessor.
