Local Leader Speaks Out On Boy Scout “Perversion Files”

In the wake of the release ofthe Boy Scout “perversion files,” local leaders are voicing thier opinions about the future of theorganization.

NBC 5 spoke withJackson County Commissioner,C.W. Smith who used to be a Boy Scouts Executive Board Member.

He says here in southern Oregon, scouting officials made sure alleged offenders were taken out of the organization.

Andthat he and the board worked tirelessly to permanently remove predators from local troops.

Smith alsosays he doesn’t believe the release of the files will tarnish the reputation of the Boy Scouts, instead, he says it will make the organization stronger.
