Eagle Point Schools Still in Stalemate

Eagle Point schools are preparing to close Monday in lieu of a teacher strike schedule to begin Tuesday.

Teachers and the Eagle Point school district have been deadlocked over a new contract for a year.

Parents of students say they don’t know who to believe.

“There’s the teachers who have their hands right there with our kids, they know their names, and then there’s the district who is nothing but a number and a dollar sign,” says Tracy Morgan, a Eagle Point parent.

E.P.H.S. seniors we spoke with are frustrated by how close this strike comes to their senior projects.

A bargaining committee is meeting on Monday to continue contract negotiations.
